Tickets will sell out fast, so please do book early! The event promises to be a spectacular evening of music, dancing, auction and raffle (thanks to our many generous donors).

Tickets are 5,000 ksh per person, including dinner and a welcome cocktail. There will be a cash bar available, so please remember to bring cash with you on the night!

Summer fun and fundraising - Part 2

The second generous donation came from SAWA (South African Women's Association) in Kenya, who kindly put us forward as the lucky recipient of funds raised at their Blue Moon Ball - held at Muthaiga Country Club at the end of June. The evening was a huge success and the auction saw many bidders vying for some great offers in the auction and Muthaiga Club once again did a very professional job with much creative input from all the SAWA organizers - with beautifully decorated tables and a delicious three course dinner adding to the convivial ambience of the evening. Dancing to the live music aided digestion and all in all a great evening was had by party-goers and organizers alike!

Our huge thanks to all at SAWA - the 1.8M donation will make a huge difference to our 52 secondary and tertiary level students and their future education!

Our Annual Fundraiser - postponed until 2018

We would like to let you know that our annual fundraiser, scheduled to have been held once more at the Karen Country Club on Friday 3^rd November, has been postponed until next year.

We will be back in touch with a new date in the New Year, so please watch this space!

Get ahead and buy our new Christmas Cards at the Farmer's Organic Market at The Purdy Arms 

We will be at The Purdy Arms at The Organic Farmer's Market from 9am this Saturday morning, 5th November (and the next - November 12th) selling our new range of Christmas cards - Ksh 500 for a pack of five. Do come and join us there! 

Our Christmas cards can also be bought at KPS, HPS, The Shop at Hardy, Karen Country Club, Siafu and Westland Sundries at Village Market. Thanks again to Laura Cuthbert for her wonderful and creative designs.

FDC's very own Super Tuesday - Trumps and No Trumps

Many thanks indeed to our merry band of 36 Bridge players who gathered last Tuesday for an afternoon of tense (and sometimes tentative) bidding, fierce play and top scores, The afternoon was punctuated by some delicious cakes and sandwiches and a lively raffle, all washed down with a cup of tea and/or a glass of wine! A great deal of fun was had by all and we are pleased to announce that we raised a fabulous Ksh 130,500. Our thanks go to the players, particularly those who braved the traffic from the other side of town, and to all those who donated raffle prizes and roses and, last but not least, to our MC - Jackie.

OUR 'FUNDRAISER FORMIDABLE'!

Wow! Last night was a night to remember! Thank you SO MUCH to all those who sponsored, donated, supported, organised, attended, spoke, auctioned, bid, played, sang, ate, drank and made our evening merry - all the way into the wee hours of this morning! The rain could not have dampened any spirits!

More details will follow but the photos speak for themselves! A great evening was had by all and once again the generosity of our local and further flung community will help to support our deserving students in education for another year. ASANTE SANA!

FDC's 'FUNDRAISER FORMIDABLE' 2015
